The Dubai Jazz Festival is the biggest music event in the UAE with three days of live acts from big names. This year the lead acts were Duran Duran, John Legend and Rick Martin. The festival has taken place since 2003 from what was initially a humble ambition for a jazz festival has grown to an all encompassing music festival with over 50,000 attendees.
The festival is held over three days to allow those who wish to see all the main acts to see them. You can buy tickets for all days or separate days on your choice. As part of the music festival there are food stalls and entertainment which make the overall experience a little more interesting. There are also warm-up music acts before the main artists.
I have been on may occasions to watch many different acts and whilst I’ve always had fun, the experience depends largely on who you are seeing and your love for that band or artist.
I always opt for the Fan Pit tickets as they are the closest to the stage where the best atmosphere is. Many people go for the VIP tickets and whilst this gives you hospitality, they are usually at the back of the concert and far away from the live act. My personal opinion is that I would rather be closer and among the fans. The regular tickets get a decent view but are further back than the fan pit and golden circle.
